Development of the Window in the history of architecture
HÁVOVÁ, Tereza
Theoretical part of the paper will be devoted to the development of the window as one of indispensable architectonic parts. Historical development of the window, its meaning, changes of shape etc. can be traced from roman style until the beginnings of the modern architecture in the Czech Republic with the reference to important architectonic centers. The biggest emphasis will be placed on the gothic era due to the characteristics of this project. In a practical part of the project a haptic model will be made out a burned clay completed with the collection of sketches. The model will be adjusted for the needs of the blind and should be primarily used for their education. The final project will be placed to the Church of Virgin Mary in Ceske Budejovice, where it will be part of the exposition "Haptic models for the disabled"
Processing of gothic wall painting as compensational haptic aids for the visually impaired

The theoretical and practical part is dealing with the detail of a czech wall painting with the motif of the Virgin Mary from the peak era of the Middle Ages. The theoretical part introduces the marian theme. It describes its iconography, meaning in art and closely specifies the division of images according to devotional themes. The next part is focused on the description and analysis of the motif of the Virgin Mary the Protector, which is depicted on wall painting in a cloister of the Church of Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in České Budějovice. In the practical part is fundamental creation of the relief as a haptic aid for the visually impaired. Created reliefs are polychrome reconstruction of the wall paintings of the above-mentioned motif. The work is supplemented by other materials, implementation procedure, sketches and photo documentation.
Processing of architectural elements as haptic aids for the visually impaired
BOUŠKOVÁ, Veronika
Theoretical and practical work is concerned with an architectural detail of the Czech early Middle Ages architecture. The theoretical part introduces the history of Gothic art and describes stone carvings structures developing from the third quarter of the 13th century until its end on Czech territory. The work focuses in more detail on the history of the city České Budějovice and the main attention is paid to the description of the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The main part of a practical work is a creation of three consoles as haptic aids for the visually impaired. Created objects are shaped and polychromed reconstructions of real consoles of the north wall of the mentioned monastery. The work is complemented of other materials, implementation process, sketches and photodocumentation.
